Hosting Australian Rotaractors

The Rotaract Club of Kandy had great pleasure in hosting two Australian Rotaractors who came to Sri Lanka for Rotasia and helping them to witness the beauty of our hometown Kandy during their stay in Kandy.

Project chair met Damien and Cameron 2 Australian Rotaractors both who were DRRs of their respective Rotaract Districts on 9th February for Dinner. Plans for the next day were then discussed with them by the project chair.

On the next day morning one of our rotaractors took the two visitors to Kandy town for shopping and for sightseeing. Then they were accompanied by our rotaractors to see the Bhahirawakanda Buddha statue which is an attractive and one of the most important places in Kandy. Then they visited the Trinity College chapel.

At dinemore we had a fellowship lunch with our two visitors and then accompanied them to the
Kandy Railway station to help them to find their seats on the evening train to Colombo and to bid them farewell.
We had a great time with the two Australian rotaractors and we were able to share our thoughts on rotaract as well as on our countries and cultures.
