The club has been consecutively continuing this project and this year too, we initiated it along with the Sinhala Tamil New Year celebrations.
PM Chathuranga contacted the elders’ home and made all the arrangements and requests all members to contribute and explained on the importance of the project. Later the menu was discussed with ideas and dishes from everyone and finalized. Members pooled in with goods and money.
The food was cooked by the team Kandy. Family members of the Project chair gave us their valuable support. We transported the food and then around 12.00noon we served the Elders their meal, later dessert was served. The management thanked us, but most of all the elders wished the members well for the delicious meal. Members were also invited to have the meal at elders’ home later.
