The Rotaract Club of Kandy organized a community service
project for the children in an undeveloped area near Galaha on the 24th
of December 2017, the day before Christmas. There were a few families which had children that were in need of certain necessities. Among their basic requirements were toys,
books and clothes and so we decided to give them these as gifts for Christmas.
A donation of books and also sports equipment like wickets, bats and balls and
a bicycle was made.
It was very heartwarming to see the excitement of these
children as they received their Christmas gifts. The project was thus
successfully completed and much appreciated.
