the lecturers of Medical Faculty, University of Peradeniya. To give a briefing,
Antimicrobial resistance is the ability of a microorganism to stop an
antimicrobial working against it, especially due to the misuse and abuse of antimicrobial
agents. This poses a serious threat to human health and it requires immediate
action.
The focus of the program was on the precautionary methods that need to be
taken to avoid health issues. It was very productive and an eye-opener to all the
participants. The project was a remarkable success.
