Daya Niwasa - Christmas Lunch

To celebrate Christmas by helping the needy, the Rotaract Club of Kandy made a dry ration donation for Christmas Lunch to Daya Niwasa- Home of Care and Disabled on the 24^th of December 2017 at 10am. This is once again a significant project under the avenue of community service which is conducted by the club each year. This time the project was sponsored by Rotarian John Baskaran and his family and thus we were able to make a donation in abundance to cater the requirements of the needy.

It was another step towards celebrating a meaningful Christmas and also to mark the completion of a successful year 2017. 

Book Donation

The Rotaract Club of Kandy organized a community service project for the children in an undeveloped area near Galaha on the 24^th of December 2017, the day before Christmas.  There were a few families which had children that were in need of certain necessities. Among their basic requirements were toys, books and clothes and so we decided to give them these as gifts for Christmas. A donation of books and also sports equipment like wickets, bats and balls and a bicycle was made.

It was very heartwarming to see the excitement of these children as they received their Christmas gifts. The project was thus successfully completed and much appreciated.

Christmas Party

The Rotaract Club of Kandy celebrated Christmas in style on the 23rd of December 2017 from 6.30 pm onwards at the Kandy Club. This time the celebration was made special and memorable by the presence of our past presidents.











The party had many games and fun events which everyone enjoyed. It was a great evening which gave the members a chance to make a good bonding with each other. The food and the DJ made the night even more amiable.

It was an enjoyable day for all the members of the club, filled with happy moments.

Secret Santa

Secret Santa is a project done under the avenue of Club service for Christmas to make it a gifted day for everyone. This time as always the project was done on the day of the Christmas party so that the members can exchange gifts with each other in good spirit.

According to the notice given by the project chair person prior to the day of celebration, the members bring gifts to the ones they are assigned to and thus become their secret santas.

This project helps in strengthening the the team spirit within the club and members are encouraged to maintain good relationship with each other.

The evening ended with positive vibes and everyone went home with a surprise gift. The Secret Santa project added extra excitement to the evening.

Charter Celebrations

The 30th Charter celebrations of the Rotaract Club of Kandy was held along with the Past Presidents meeting which was held on the 28th of December 2018. After the meeting a cake was cut with all the past presidents and shared the joyful moment with the current members.

Past Presidents Meeting

The annual past presidents meeting of the Rotaract Club of Kandy was held on the 23rd of December 2017 at the Kandy club. The past presidents who attended the meeting spoke to the club members and shared their experience as Rotaractors. Also, they discussed the current status of the club and gave advice on how to improve certain aspects.
