The Rotaract Club of Kandy had the honour of hosting a group
of students and two professors from the University of Wollongong (School of
Economics and Finance), Australia to meet the proprietor of the largest Gem and
Jewellery showroom in Kandy, Tiesh by Lakmini
on the 17th of July 2017.
These students were studying on Sri Lanka's economy and
development of businesses and how the country's economy effects on the new
businesses.
Also we were able to get special permission from the Deputy
Vice Chancellor of University of Peradeniya to make a personal visit to the
Department of Economics and Statistics at the University including a discussion
with the Head of Department Prof. Vijesandivan and a few students.
