Christmas Party

The annual Christmas party of the Rotaract Club of Kandy was held on the 2 nd of January at Kandy Club from 6 p.m onwards.

The party commenced with a toast for a Merry Christmas and a successful year for the Rotaract Movement, the Rotaract Club of Kandy and its members. The Christmas party was followed by music and entertaining games like musical chairs and paper dancing which the members greatly enjoyed.This was a great opportunity for all our members to share their thoughts and to spend a time with joy and fellowship.

CHARTER CELEBRATIONS

On the 2 nd of January 2015 the Rotaract Club of Kandy celebrated the 29th year of excellence of our club. All the members and the past presidents of our club gathered together to celebrate the club anniversary and the current president together with the past presidents cut a cake to commemorate the occasion with the memories of our past years.

Secret Santa

This is an event held annually to enhance the unity and happiness of our club members.

2015 year’s Secret Santa project was placed as combined event with the Christmas party held at the Kandy Club. The project was taken into practice by drawing chits with the names of the entire club members. Every member was asked to buy a gift to all their receiver’s and all the members were informed separately with their gift receiver’s name and date to handover their gifts.

And we made sure that every person got a gift from one of the club members. We announced each members name and the person who had that person’s gift came infront and gave the gift where all the memebers were looking in excitement and surprise. This was a fun filled moment for all our club members which improved the sense of friendship and unity

President's Dinner

Keeping up with the tradition of the club each year the newly appointed president gives a special treat to the club members as a way to step in to the New Year with new hopes and to thank them for trusting and giving the opportunity to head this prestigious club.

This year the president gave a dinner to the members of the club and welcomed the new year on the 2nd of January at Kandy Club.

Past Presidents Meeting

The past presidents meeting of our club was held on the 2 nd of January at Kandy Club where all our members and past presidents gathered together to share our experiences and thoughts on Rotaract.

Following the Pledge of Allegiance and the Rotaract Invocation, our President, Rtr. Tilani Subasinghe acknowledged and welcomed the Past Presidents and members. They were briefed on the completed, ongoing and planned projects. Members who recently joined the club introduced themselves. The highlight of the meeting followed: Past Presidents and members shared their experiences and what they gained through Rotaract, similarities and the differences they see in the club between today and their times, and made suggestions for the improvement of the present standard of the club.

This was a great opportunity for the members of our club to meet the past leaders of our club and to gain and share their valuable experiences.
