And once the event was over they had a fellowship dinner and was dropped at their accommodation.

And the Day 2, as per the request of the visitors they were taken on a hike to Hanthana mountain rage along with Rtr. Bhathiya who is a professional Trekker who knows in and out of the Hanthana Mountain range. We Care

The project "We Care" is a health camp organized by Team Kandy with the intention of providing medical assistance to expecting mothers and lactating mothers from the Mooloya Estate in Hewaheta which is identified as an underprivileged village.  It was successfully conducted on the 20th of May 2018.

The members of the club visited the estate with a recognized doctor and a seminar was conducted by him on pregnancy and the complications associated with it. It was conducted in Sinhala but since the majority of the participating mothers were fluent only in Tamil, two of the club members helped with providing a translation.

This lecture was followed up by a medical check-up where the doctor examined each pregnant and lactating mother individually. Thereafter refreshments were provided for the mothers as well as the kids who were present. The programme was successfully concluded with the distribution of a complimentary gift pack to each participant who was present.

Future Leaders

Passion drives us to achieve our dreams and goals. We, the Kandy team strives to do our very best and to show our true colors to others. Our passion is none other than building up a wonderful world for the generations to come. But what is passion if not for a combination of sheer enthusiasm, energy, creativity and patience coupled with confidence and dedication.
A leadership development project was organized for grade 11 students of Sri Pada Central College on 21st of May 2018, on the request of their Principal. According to the Principal of the School, the children are at a risk of getting addicted to drugs which is a major concern in that area.

This project was a combination of 3 phases and was done with the help of Old Boys of Sri Pada central college.
Phase 1 - Leadership development and team building session
Phase 2 - Drug Awareness session by Narcotic bureau
Phase 3 - Workshop on Dressing sense

The workshop conducted covered the areas of awareness on drugs, leadership development and team building, preparation of GCE Ordinary level examination and about dressing sense. It was yet another brilliant project by RAC Kandy, a single but a huge step towards a better tomorrow.
