‘splendorous
women’ is a significant project which was initiated by the Rotaract club of
Kandy which falls under Human Resource Development. The project was conducted
by one of our own iron ladies, Rtn.PHF Avanthi Karunarathne who is an amazing
personality with lifelong achievement. The workshop was conducted along with
the Interact club of Mahamaya Girls’ College Kandy. The project held on 22nd
of November 2018, chaired by Prospective Member Ravindi Karunanayake.
It
was an interactive session to develop the young personalities and it taught
them to express their opinions freely, without any restriction, it focused on
individual empowerment which is achieve by imparting self-confidence to
articulate and assert the power of independent decision making and they were
made aware of the social status that they preserve in the community and were
given insights of how to pursue their dreams.
The
project was conducted smoothly with good coordination from the keynote speaker
and the interactors and after the conclusion of the project the interactors
were motivated and awed by the opportunities and the possibilities in the
society and within them self’s, which was and accomplishment for our motive.
