A factory visit was organized by Team
Kandy on the 2nd of February 2018, for the club members as a professional
development project. The members visited Pambegama estate, which is the only
manual rubber factory operating in Sri Lanka. Members started the journey from
learning about the tea industry. The members involved in the process
practically, along with the useful lectures given by the experts of the
industry. Next the members visited the rubber factory and learnt almost
everything about the rubber processing.
It was indeed a great new exposure for the members for two of the dominating industries in Sri Lanka.
