‘BONJOUR’ FRENCH LANGUAGE WORKSHOP PHASE 01

French being a language spoken by almost 500 million people as either a first, second, or foreign language is an official language in 29 countries in the world and is also considered one of the most attractive languages. With the intention of professionally developing the members of the cluband with a main objective of creating an interest in the members to learn a foreign language that is commonly used worldwide so that it would be of use to them in the future. The French Language Workshop – Phase 1 was conducted by the members of the club who are currently studying the French language at Alliance Francais.
The project was jointly carried forward by the Rotaract club of Neptune Edification as a virtual French workshop for the members of both clubs on the 31st of March 2016 at Neptune Edification from3.00 pm onwards.In order to get along with project, initially the members were informed about the workshop at a general meeting and then was reminded through text messages and WhatsApp messages. An email was also circulated with basic French words along with the English pronunciation of each word and the relevant meanings.
The project was successfully carried forward with a very positive feedback and is expected to be continued in the future.   

Rotaract Story


Rotaract story is an International Understanding and Club Service initiative by Rotaract Club of Kandy. Team Kandy interviewed PDG Gowri Rajan, PDRR Mark Stephan and PP. Ifraz Kamil. They had to answer to few questions. They shared their end of the story of Rotaract. Please take a look at the video. They had to answer to following questions.

            They had unique and interesting answers for each and every question.

For the first and second question they clearly explained about the Rotaract movement. They shared their end of the story of joining the prestigious movement, the things that they achieved and memories as the answer for the third to seventh question.

Finally they ended the interview with a valuable message to the world youth.

ROATARCT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE


RCL (Rotaract Champions League) is a District project which is like Olympic for Rotaractors. Lots of games like cricket, Basket Ball, tennis, table tennis, futsal, chess, carom, tug of war, tag rugby and Track events took place and took part in these events.

At the same time Team Kandy hosted Basketball at the Rotaract Champions League along with the Rotaract Club of Peradeniya and Faculty of Arts. This was planned and discussed couple of months ahead. With satisfactory effort and commitment the project was placed successfully at the grounds of Colombo University. This project was chaired by Rtr. President TilaniSubasinghe.
