Installation of the 36^th president of the Rotaract Club of Kandy, Rtr. Mohomed Rehan and his board of directors which was held on 13^th of October 2018 at Hotel Thilanka with the presence of the President of the Rotary Club of Kandy Rtn. PHF. Dr.Ranjith Gunathilake as the chief guest, District Rotaract Committee Chairperson Rtn. PHF. Sathiyendra Tharmakulerajasingham as the guest of honour, District Rotaract Representative Rtr. PP. Amjath Yoosuf and many more invitees and guests.

HOPES OF PARADISE

It’s World’s Childrens Day – Why stay in your room when such a treasure of history and culture sits just outside. Let us all walk to the paradise.

In celebration of world’s Children Day 2018 which is on 1^st of October. The project “Hopes of Paradise” is an annual project done by the Rotaract club of Kandy, mainly focusing on children. In accordance with this year’s Rotaract theme Inspire the future, this project was aimed to motivate children towards better educational processes. As university can be considered as the Centre of education which inspire the younger generation to inculcate new ideas, we the Rotaract Club of Kandy organized a visit to the University of Peradeniya, for the students of Dharmashoka college Aruppola. The project was chaired by Rtr. Yashodara.

“Sureki”

“Sureki”

“Sureki” is a child abuse prevention awareness programme. Upon a request from a welfare society of Concordia Estate, Nuwara-Eliya an awareness program on child abuse prevention was held at the estate premises. Mr.Muralitharan Kumar,Director of SOS Village and Child abuse prevention officer, Mr.Kirubhaharan conducted two separate sessions for children and for their parents about awareness on child abuse prevention by manifesting how to act according to a sudden situation and how to take care of their children. Prospective Member Sewwandi Chaired the project. And the project took place on 9^th September 2018.
